There was a time in my life when herbs scared me. It may sound really silly or you may relate. Most of my life, I was fascinated with plants but after watching people poison their lives with marijuana, calling it an 'herb', I started to fear what herbs could do to a body and mind. As a child I could see talented people who I loved and looked up to wasting their talents and acting wrong, stupid, or hurtful when under the influence of this and other 'herbs'. In my adult years, I've seen people put their faith in plants, herbs, diet, and other 'natural remedies' only to find themselves disillusioned and extremely sick. It's very sad and frustrating to watch.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good... And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Genesis 1:11-12, 29
Some things that were good before the flood can be harmful now. It may seem odd, but there is evidence that Rattle Snake venom was a beneficial protein. (Check out Dr. Carl Baugh's Creation Model.) Things kept in a hyperbaric biosphere (more like the way the atmosphere would have been before the flood) grow much bigger and some of the chemistry is different.
Over the next few months, I'll be sharing more about herbs and medicinal plants. Please join me as we explore God's amazing creation. Subscribe so you don't miss any.
