I’ve been blessed to be a member of the Inspired Bloggers Network Facebook group for a few years now. I can honestly tell you, Tabitha is one of the sweetest, most helpful ladies I’ve met in that time. She runs the group with genuine love and care. So many struggles in my life, I have felt solitary and alone in. There are some things a mommy just doesn’t want to admit to the world, especially when you are homeschooling and in fear of having your children taken away from you for anything others may mistakenly (or falsely) accuse or define as “abuse”.
That being said, I love my children and have good and growing relationships with each one. Yet, I am NOT perfect and have struggled with sin in my life. Anger and Depression have been the biggest of my struggles. I wish I had had such a book when I was expecting our first child 23 years ago.

Even-Tempered Mother: Tips from a Mom Overcoming Rage and Depression by Tabitha Philen of MeetPenny.com is a book of encouragement, empowerment, and healing.
Description:
Through a candid look at Tabitha’s struggles, Even-Tempered Mother reveals the hidden epidemics of rage and depression in motherhood.
Tabitha understands that mothers are living in fear: afraid to share the pain in their hearts, thinking that they will lose their family if they confess their rage and depression, trying to change before they emotionally scar their children, and feeling like they are unable to stop the rolling emotions followed by unreasonable reactions.
As a Christian, wife, and mother, Tabitha was failing. Her rage was out of control and her emotions were dominated by depression, but God intended her life for more and refused to let the generations of emotional baggage continue. Determined to break the chain, Tabitha submitted to God, sought help from a counselor and a doctor, and made changes in her lifestyle to get her anger and depression under control.
If you are a mother struggling with rage and you are seeking ways to manage your anger, you will be comforted to know that you are not alone and there is hope for your family. Even-Tempered Mother offers practical tips so that you can diffuse your rage and apply anger management techniques to your life that will calm your future.
If you are a mom suffering with depression and desperately want to believe in the love of a Savior who has great things planned for your life, Even-Tempered Mother will encourage you to seek the tools that can balance your emotions, giving you options that really work.
