Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles with warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with strings... Out here in the Panhandle, our favorite things tend to be rather simple, especially in our family. Raindrops and dew on the flowers and cute little kittens can make it to that list. "Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalm 37:4 |
Golden wheat rustling in the wind at harvest time.
Horses prancing up and down the fence whinnying for hay.
My favorite things are:
Very old books.
Soft cotton quilts.
Pencils, pens & paper in a wide variety of colors.
Brown leather ...yes, I like brown leather. Shoes, boots, moccasins, purses, Bible covers, belts.
Iron. ...another odd one... Cast iron skillets and wrought iron decor.
Baby powder scent.
Fresh strawberries.
Fire. Fireplace, candlelight, campfire... I even love my good ol' gas stove.
What are some of your favorite things?
