Architecture throughout history is quite fascinating, especially when we realize how much influence it all had on the USA. We have taken historical architecture, mixed it all up, and poured it out all over our nation. It's fun to look around and see which pieces came from which countries and time periods. Admittedly we don't see a lot of variation out here compared to most of the country. Most of the old farm houses are pretty basic, but some have a beautiful Victorian flare to them. Sprinkled around are a few adobe houses, some ranch-style, but most of the old buildings are brick rectangles.

My favorite study in Architecture is the Tabernacle of the Bible (see Exodus 25-27). Each piece had special purpose and meaning. We need to realize and remember that every, single, thing in our lives has importance and meaning. God made you and placed you where you are for a reason. Sometimes we do end up with consequences to our actions or the actions of those around us that God did NOT want for us, but He allowed it because He gave us all a free will. He does promise that He will work all things for the good of those who love Him (see Romans 8:28). Some of us are more like fancy Victorian houses with gables and bay windows, elegant & regale. Some of us are more like a castle fortress, strong & fortified. Some of us are ranch-style log cabins, rustic & cozy. All of us have a wonderful purpose and can be inviting in our own way. Embrace the Architect of your life and the amazingness He has placed inside you!
