This verse really touched me. I've had people ask, "Why do you..." about several different things that stand out in my life. Most of those things I do because I love the LORD. I'm like a little child with my Father in Heaven. I delight in His delight. He loved me when no one else seemed to. He loved me when I was acting completely unlovable. He loved me when I have looked and felt my worst. He has always been here for me.
The LORD hasn't always answered my prayers the way I wanted. He hasn't always protected me from bad things. He hasn't always buffered me from mean people. ...but... He HAS always been here for me, with me, comforting me, admonishing me... |
Maybe you are feeling alone today... Left out, overwhelmed, used, frustrated... Whatever it is, The LORD knows what's happening. He knows what you need. You are a special blessing He created for a wonderful purpose and He loves you. He loves you when you are alone. He loves you when you feel hidden in a crowd. He loves you when you don't feel or act lovable.
If there is someone who loves you that much... Someone who hears you and really listens to you, won't you call out to Him? Tell Him.
We grow up with an idea that God is too holy for us to approach honestly. We get this idea that we have to be perfect before we approach the alter. Nothing could be farther from the truth. What would the Savior have to save us from if we could achieve perfection without Him? He came to save us from our sin. We bring it all to Him, every filthy bit and lay it down at the alter.
There are a lot of people in the world suffering and dying right now. It's time to look up and watch for HIS return. Be ready and help others prepare.

- Repent. Repentance doesn't change who you are in your deepest heart. Repentance cleans the junk out of the way so we can be who we really are without the burdensome mess sin bogs us down with.
- Forgive. Forgiveness isn't forgetfulness. Forgiveness frees us to keep moving and succeed in life. Forgiveness cleanses us from bitterness and resentment, freeing our attitudes and our health with joy.
- Become. Become a disciple. Become disciplined. .Become your best. Become an achiever. Be all you can be with HIS help.
- Share. Share the good news. Share the Gospel. Share His love.

I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful. The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me. Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 116:1-9
