Our whole family loves rocks. We can't go on walks without noticing treasures along the way. We have rocks everywhere. We also have a few crystals and gemstones.
I've even invested in amber necklaces and bracelets for everyone. The older two girls do really think they helped the babies while they were going through bouts of teething and colic. My favorite jewelry through the years has always been nature pieces. One of my uncles gave me a beautiful wooden bead necklace when I was young. A high school friend gave me a pretty braided silver ring with a turquoise stone that I loved. My grandmother gave me a ring with a big beautiful pink stone, which my mother had a matching necklace for. |
Needless to say, I've always been drawn to and had an appreciation for the natural beauty of stones and crystals. I've had a lot of questions lately about crystals and frequencies.
- Are they really useful or therapeutic?
- Is it okay for Christians to have or use crystals?
- What frequencies to crystals have?
- How do they work?
Crystals, Gemstones and Amber from a Biblical perspective
There is a lot to unpack! As I've been answering these questions one-on-one with curious friends, I've been digging a little deeper. I finally decided (well, it was actually requested) to do a video. If this is something you are interested in, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Make sure to leave a comment or send me an email. Geology is definitely not my forte, but if there's enough interest I'll try to wrangle up a geologist to interview on the subject sometime.

“O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted,
behold, I will set your stones in antimony,
and lay your foundations with sapphires.
I will make your pinnacles of agate,
your gates of carbuncles,
and all your wall of precious stones.
All your children shall be taught by the Lord,
and great shall be the peace of your children.”
Isaiah 54:11-13 ESV
