I'm exploring herbs again this week with another breath freshener, cloves. Cloves or Clove oil have also been used for tooth ache. Constituents in the oil also cause warming and increase the production of hydrochloric acid, which can be very soothing to the digestive system.
Cloves smell so nice cooked. My favorite use is in Wassail in the winter time. The Wassail simmering on the stove smells so good! I need to try making a Pomander which is poking dried cloves in an orange and hanging it up for an air freshener and bug replant. |
Be careful searching for recipes or instructions. The witches like to use these for rituals and such. You'll also find some beautiful wedding ideas, yummy recipes. Just be discerning... Here is a sampling of what I found:
- Coconut Chai Tea
- Cinnamon Clove Coffee Cookies
- One Bowl Spiced Gingerbread Muffins
- Ginger Clove Anti-inflammatory Liniment
- Christmas Pomanders (Which would work for summer bug repellent as well.)
