I don't encourage dwelling on romance in our home. I do like a few romantic movies, but usually they have some historical value, opportunities for Character training, or a great moral to the story (or they are hilariously funny). I truly feel girls who grow up reading romance novels or watching lots of "chick flicks" tend to have unrealistic expectations for the relationships in their lives. It IS extremely important for the children to learn about love, true love. After all it was love that brought us into the world and love that brought Y'shua (Jesus) to suffer for our sins. |
And Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29-31 & Matthew 22:37-40 |
Seeking the Kingdom of YHWH, we must learn to love HIM with all our being and to love HIS creations. You are one of those creations. Yes, the Creator of the universe made you. HE loves you more than anyone else in this world can.

One of the ways we teach our children to love is in caring for God's creatures. The girls especially love puppies, kittens, and horses. HE created these animals with the capacity to show affection to those who care for them. Instead of concentrating on romance this month; why not spend the month appreciating true love? The love of your Heavenly Father in creating these animals for our help and enjoyment is truly amazing!
