Flag Day and REAL American History

Flag Day and the United States Army birthday are both on June 14th.  The Army was established in 1975 and our flag was adopted in 1977.

Did you know there is a National Flag Day Foundation?  I didn't. They have an essay contest each year. Flag Etiquette can be found at USFlag.org. One of my favorite resources for anything Patriotic is The John Birch Society. They are a constitutionalist organization with the sole purpose of educating and empowering citizens with accurate, up to date information. Their materials are affordable and easy to understand. We use a lot of them in our homeschool. The JBS was our first introduction to David Barton of Wallbuilders, teaching America's Godly Heritage. I strongly recommend you check out some of their DVD's and booklets for supplementing your children's history.
