GREEMU Emu oil Alternative by Devonian Review

Cowboys are versatile. They prefer rounding up cattle and eating fried chicken but show a cowboy a big bird with meat comparable to beef steak and you'll have his attention! About 20 years ago some of the fellers out here decided to raise Emus. Emu oil has some amazing properties and became something our family used regularly for a number of things. Then we read in the Bible about clean and unclean animals... We don't get legalistic about it but I did start looking for an alternative to the emu oil. There are many nice creams, but I've had trouble finding an oil with similar properties. I was excited to learn about Devonian's GREEMU. 

​Scientists at Devonian developed this blend of plant oils and butters that is very similar in properties and consistency to Emu Oil. It contains:

• Macadamia Seed Oil
• Organic Palm Oil
• Shea Butter
• Sunflower Seed Oil
• Rice Bran Oil

GREEMU does have a lovely consistency and glides on smoothly. It is really nice around dry cuticles. It doesn't absorb like Emu Oil though. The ultimate test for me is on freshly shaved legs. I razor burn very easily. Emu Oil is the only thing that I've found that really soaks in and moisturizes my legs. GREEMU would probably be wonderful for massage. I didn't have a chance to get my massage therapist to try it but the texture would be very soothing. It has a simple, clean smell that isn't the least bit overpowering. This is a lovely product for anyone looking for an alternative to Emu Oil or just wanting a nice 'baby oil' for their family. This would make a really nice carrier oil for Essential oils too.
