My oldest thinks I'm a Mario-Queen. She remembers me playing the Nintendo when she was little. Realize, this was about 20 years ago. The Nintendo was used. Someone had given to us. There were cords and buttons and a hand-sized disky-thing that plugged in for each game you played. We had 3 games, two of which were given to us; Zelda & Mario and the other I bought, Spiritual Warfare (a Christian game that ran similar to Zelda in a modern city scenario). I live my life in spurts. When I sew, I sew for a week or so. When I clean, I super-clean for a week or so. When I read, I read almost 24/7 until I finish the book. (I'm a very slow reader...) I also like to conquer my projects. I sew whole outfits in a setting, or end up with UFO's cluttering the house... I seldom don't finish a book, except devotionals. They are harder for me to conquer. When I play video games, I play them until I either complete all the levels or I can no longer advance. If I stop, I stop and seldom pick it back up. (Of course, I do eat, sleep & what-not... but even that is limited until I'm done with the project.) They are addictive and I succumb. Last year our oldest bought me a Mario Bros t shirt. (Or was it the year before?) I was kinda shocked at the gift. Why Mario? She remembered me playing it when she was little and had good memories of it, I suppose... It's funny the things children remember. So, if you catch me wearing a Mario t-shirt you'll know the story. My oldest thinks I'm a Mario-Queen. ...I can't play Mario now on these new-fangled devices people have. I get sea-sick. Doesn't that just figure? (*smirk*)
