Last week I shared a friend's posts about Dealing with Cancer because my mother was recently diagnosed. This week as I share Thanksgiving with our sweet little family, I'm also making funeral arrangements. She passed early Monday morning. I'm getting lots of "I'm so sorry..." comments & prayer. Thank you all so much! I do have to admit that I am not sorry. I was praying for our loving FATHER in Heaven to be merciful. She had a few good days visiting with family and friends and I was even able to take her little chihuahua to visit her. We all have sweet memories to share. I really don't think I could have asked for more. Now there are no more worries and no more pain.

Today I'm sharing with you some awesome posts from blogging friends of mine. I'm so thankful to these ladies for helping me out during this tough time.
GRAB the tissue box before you read this one!!!
Stacey from Chronically Whole shared an amazing story from her visit to a cancer treatment center. In Lessons from the Cancer Center she chronicles the amazing love of a very young man for his father during a very trying time. It's the story of an everyday hero. Stacey went on to dedicate her insight and thoughts to a brother she lost to the disease. Thank you Stacey! You really blessed my soul with this! |
Jamie fromLife is Sweeter by Design takes tragedy in her community and turns it into teachable moments for her children. Let's face it, no matter how much we'd like to protect our little ones, someday harsh reality will meet them in this world. How do we prepare them without desensitizing them or stripping them of their innocence? Jamie shares real reasons why it is so important to talk with your children and how to practically share comfort and Biblical Truths with children when the unthinkable happens.
And you know what? It's okay if you don't think you have all the answers! Children can be comforted just as much by a simple, "I don't know." |

I had no idea there were so many facets of fantasy. Kathryn did an exceptional job explaining the differences!
