Quilting Bee

I'm crafty.  I can't really call myself a "Quilter", but I do quilt.  I love quilts.  I love cutting fabric and sewing it back together to make pretty things.  I have a stash and my tools are showing wear through years of collecting and abuse.  I'm in the process of reorganizing so I can keep as much as possible, but some things will just have to go. When I become comfortable with something, I hate to have to replace it.  Things just don't seem to be made like they used to and I can't seem to come up with the same comfort in anything new... My old cutting mat has had it and needs to retire to the dumpster.  My rotary cutters both have issues.  My favorite one has too small a blade for the layers of fabric I'm usually trying to cut through and the one with the bigger blade unlocks at the most inopportune times, snapping back and hurting my hand.

I am really excited to share with you a new product I'm truly happy with! Quilting Bee USA sent me their kit to review.  The rotary cutter is a dream!  It's light weight like my bigger old one and has a nice big blade, but it has all the comfortable grips and angles of my little favorite.  The safety button is the same type too; much more reliable than the one on my big cutter.  Ouch!  The mat isn't as large as my old one, but I don't think that is going to be a big problem.  I seldom use the whole area on my old one anyway. This one fits perfectly on the piano bench, so I can use it in the living room.  I like watching movies or the children play on the floor while I craft.  We will often each have a project in the living room and visit while we work.  I love this cutting mat! It's heavy duty and REVERSIBLE!!!  I'm sure this is going to last me a long time.  The size is nice for moving around and would easily fit in a bag with my machine if I got to cart them to a quilting class.  (One of these days... I'm going to make it to some classes...)
