Last week Hubby & the youngn's went to visit Grandpa. He's not doing well these days. The 87 years have caught up with him. Their family is a fun bunch of fruit loops. The past several years he has drifted away from his usual cheerfulness into a more stubborn, grunchy, or reflective state of mind. Through his dementia, the world has gone stupid and the nursing home has a black market conspiracy going on. On good days though he can be caught flirting with nurses and trying to help his neighbor in some small way. He delights in making people smile.

Don't we all have those moments? The whole world seems to be falling apart and going absolutely crazy. All of the sudden something silly happens and like a reset button everything is put back into perspective.
Matthew 24 isn't the most encouraging chapter of the Bible but we can still find great hope in it. "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet... But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Let us endeavor to endure friends, and may the LORD help us to find the JOY in counting even the smallest Blessings.
