Summer Sands #AfterMyCoffee

I think everyone is familiar with the "Footprints in the Sand" poem. Looking back on the sands of life, a man sees sometimes two sets of prints and sometimes only one. He assumes God left him to walk alone in the hard times, but the Lord explains that during those times HE carried the man through those hardships.

I've always imagined my own little discussion with the Lord over this scene, "Lord, what are those deep trenches in the sand?"
"That, My dear, is where I dragged you through."

Hebrews 13:5 "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."

I also think I often let my mouth run away with me & I end up head first in the rising tide! I am so grateful for HIS patience and mercy!


As you contemplate the enjoyment of sand, beach, and fun summer activities, make sure to take time to read HIS WORD and be a light for HIM in this dark, scary world.
