Whether traveling with children or teaching them geography or history, travel can be a patience building subject.

- Structure - Make sure important parts of your schedule and routine continue as closely as possible.
- Anticipation - Gather as much information before hand as possible. Save bits of information to use as treats, encouragement, and ... (dare I say it?) bribe.
Games, puzzles, and activities also help a lot. Make sure to keep a special toy or blanket close by and be ready to sit and cuddle for a few minutes. Learning and fun are never more important than relationships.
