Music has always been a big part of our lives. No, we're not great musicians, though there has been some talent in the family here & there. One of our favorite hymns to sing together is "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder". Do you know it?

"When the Trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more, and the morning break eternal bright and fair.
And the saved on earth shall gather over on the other shore, and the Roll is called up Yonder, I'll be there!"

The Biblical Holiday, Rosh Hashanah, or Feast of Trumpets is coming up the evening of September 13th. We have been celebrating this feast for several years now and we sing that hymn.

We also always have apples and honey and usually sparkling apple cider. It's something the children look forward to. I'll be posting more for the new Feast of the Lord Linky Party next week, but this week I want to share some resources with you. These are FREE reading and would make great Bible school lessons as well as a homeschool unit study:

That's one of my favorite songs as well. We studied Rosh Hashanah last year and it was interesting to learn about the Jewish feasts.
