I've been looking at fun ideas for Littlest Princess' birthday. I know I won't have the time, energy, or $ to accomplish all the cute ideas I'm seeing, but I thought I'd share some of them with you all today. I just love whimsical fun. I don't approve of or encourage "magic". Manipulating things toward our personal will is rebellion and against the will of GOD. Dreams, inspiration, & expression are gifts from HIM though. It's important that we be discerning, but not limiting. Sometimes it's a hard balance. It takes discretion & wisdom for a parent to be able to guide & direct children through the maze. This can only be accomplished through prayer & time in the Word.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 1 Samuel 15:23

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is depicted as the dream of a little girl. Who hasn't had some really weird and off the wall dreams? I call it "brain defragmenting." Lewis Carol's narrative is fun and inspiring. Here is my pinterest "Wonderland" board for you to enjoy. I see paper teapots, post signs to everywhere & nowhere, & maybe some Mad Hats in our near future. {giggle} Littlest Princess wants a Cheshire Cat pillow. I'll have to make tags that say "eat me" for the cupcakes & maybe labels to tape on root-bear bottles that say "drink me". This is going to be lots of fun!

This beautiful work of art, Move Forward, by Cherry Ashen Fargo reminded me of an old chorus by songwriter Oscar C. Eliason who wrote, Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? Got any mountains you can't tunnel through? He responded to these questions by saying, God specializes in things thought impossible. He does the things others cannot do. As followers of Christ, we face obstacles in our lives, and walking in God's will doesn't guarantee that our way will be easy. It helps me to remember that no matter how difficult our trials and tribulations may be, we can trust God and move forward in faith.
