MONEY is an expression of VALUE. Money purchases = Your Values & Priorities
THEIR’s or YOUR’s. You are either building the ‘house’ of the world’s richest people & their giant companies, or you are building your ‘house’.

Still want/need to shop?
There may be things one needs to buy, only around the time of BF, because that’s when they might cost the least; so, this would be prudent, financially. But how to swim in and safely navigate the vast waters of sales, without crashing at the end of this world’s consumerism waves?
IDENTIFY
Needs vs. Wants.
On a piece of paper, draw a line in the middle, making two columns. Assign anything you’re contemplating buying/consuming to either category. Go! After you’re done, put your list aside.
Wait 2 days.
Come back; scrutinize each item. Are they in the right category? Perhaps some “needs” are really “wants”? Be scrupulous in your examination.
CUTOFF
Impulse buying.
Using your list created in the “IDENTIFY” step, do your due diligence ahead of time. Research online prices, today, next week, & every week, including and right before BF, at various locations.
I recommend putting them into a simple Chart (or Excel spreadsheet) to learn whether or not a store is truly giving a “low price”.
SIFT
Your motives.
Have you been swept up in the commercialism pattern of this world?
Impulse: covet ---> consume ---> buy ---> repeat
Have you found yourself mindlessly scrolling online, on your phone, on social media?
Can you discern the social pressure to buy?
Do you feel manipulated, pressured, or mind-controlled by the giant companies’ marketing mayhem, pushing the ‘consuming is the path to happiness’ way of this world?
