Holy Consecration

A sober, stirring call to cast down idols, prepare our hearts, and run our race with eternal focus as the world surges toward Black Friday’s frenzy.

As we come to the final part of Rosemary’s series, we leave the shallow waters of sales and step into the deeper currents of the heart. The world is spinning faster, its noise growing louder, and Black Friday’s frenzy presses hard upon every household… but Rosemary invites us to pause, breathe, and look higher. Before we reach for a single bargain, she calls us to examine the altar within, to clear away idols, and to prepare for the return of our Messiah with steady hands and a faithful fire that does not go out. Here, in these closing thoughts, the true work begins.

In Part 3, I wrote about how to swim in and safely navigate the vast waters of sales, without crashing at the end of this world’s consumerism waves.

I began with these:

• IDENTIFY Needs vs. Wants

• CUTOFF impulse buying

• SIFT your motives

And asked the question: Have you been swept up in the commercialism pattern of this world?

impulse: covet, impulse: consume, impulse: buy, repeat

Now, let’s move forward.

SLAY

your idols. What’s an idol? Any thing on which we set our affections, to which we indulge an excessive and sinful attachment. An idol is anything that usurps the place of Yahuah/God in the hearts of His creatures.

Production means nothing when you have a problem/addiction to consumption.

PREPARE

for the return of Messiah Yahushah/Christ. Are you waiting for Him?

How are you preparing your heart, your family, your house?

In Wayyiqra/ Leviticus 6:9, 12, & 13, Yahushah commands us, three times, that ‘the fire must be kept burning on the altar, it must not go out’. Why? Because it is where the priest burns the burnt offering. Our heart is an altar. Is your heart on fire?

What is your temperature?

“I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are lukewarm , neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!” Ḥazon/Revelation 3:15-16

What are you offering on the altar of your heart?

I encourage you to inquire of Yahuah/God, what He would have you offer up to Him to burn.

Are you disengaging from the world?

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Marqos/Mark 8:36

"Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." Ya’acob/James 4:4

Remember, Word means Thing? Yahushah Messiah/Christ is The Word. Here is the thing: The Word commands us to do:

"Yet you lack one thing: sell all that you have, and, give alms to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow Me." Luqas (Luke) 18:22

My departing Black Friday counsels are: prepare your financial house as if one may die tomorrow or live a long time; obtain financial stability & prepare to leave a legacy for your family; and, simultaneously, begin selling your possessions as if our Messiah’s return is next year.

While we still live on Earth, we need our basic clothes, shoes, money, household things, etc., for daily life. Yet, there is a simultaneous, ever-increasing call from the Holy Spirit, urging us to free ourselves from our superfluous possessions & the entanglements of this world, all while yearning & burning for the return of our Bridegroom, Master, and Sovereign King.

When you watch this last video, imagine you are the blue & white #2 horse Secretariat, and the rest of the pack is the world.
